Mission:

To ensure and enhance agricultural economic development and activity through communication, education and promotion to consumers, Agribusinesses and public entities.

Initiatives:

1) Create Public Awareness:

a. Jobs supported by Union county, Ohio, and American agriculture

b. Environmental stewardship supported by agriculture

c. Committed to safe, quality, wholesome products

d. Create awareness of public officials to understand of the special needs of agricultural i.e. equipment transportation, dust, oder,

e. On value of Agribusiness to the community

f. As to sources for factual information.

2) Agri-Voice for the promotion and protection of Union Co. Agricultural Development:

a. Promote the rich rural heritage and agri-economic development

b. Partner with industry allies to and supportive organizations.

c. Rural representation on Union county chamber legislative committees

d. Encourage opportunities that promote responsible agriculture development.

e. Protect agriculture from mis-information from organizations or government policies that restrict or preclude responsible growth of agriculture.

f. Provide a Union county voice for state and national professional agriculture issues.

g. Protection of agriculture from Agricultural terrorist groups.

3) Promotion

a. Promote services available

b. Farm products and services to consumers

c. Promote professional modern farming methods that lower the carbon footprint.

d. Identify opportunities for Agri-Economic Development

e. Encourage local event promotions.

4) Educate Agribusiness on:

a. Programs available from Chamber of Commerce

b. Employment laws and code changes

c. Update on current tax laws

d. Value added programs

e. Farm Programs and Government development programs

f. Human resources programs and laws

g. Laws affecting Agri-business

h. Services available to local farm businesses.
